Joelle James

Joelle James began her music career at a very young age. She grew up in the small town of Murrieta in Southern California and began singing in her church choir at the age of 5 before she could even read. As many started to notice Joelle’s passion for music and performing, she took voice lessons and expanded her performance opportunities around her hometown and other venues.

At age 11 she performed “Georgia On My Mind” for the late Mr. Ray Charles at The Temecula Valley International Film and Music Festival. She was also a contestant on CBS’s “Star Search” and “Showtime at the Apollo” in 2002. Her other television appearances include “America’s Most Talented Kid” in 2004 and she was a Top 40 finalist on Season 6 of FOX’s American Idol.

Joelle is a regular National Anthem performer both in her native southern Californa and here in Boston. She has performed the National Anthem more than 175 times for almost every professional athletic organization. In February 2005 she performed the anthem for 130,000 live fans and a nationally televised audience for the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series. In September 2008 she sang for the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park, in January 2009 she was honored to sing for the San Diego Chargers Divisional Series Playoff Game and is now a regular anthem performer for the NHL Boston Bruins and NBA Boston Celtics.

In the fall of 2008, Joelle moved across the country after she graduated High School to pursue her dreams in music as a scholarship student at Berklee College of Music in Boston. She continues to perform, play guitar, and song write. She aspires to have longevity and legitimacy in her music career, and wants to touch as many people as possible with her soulful voice and passion for music.
