
Ryan
Ryan Brown has performed with K2 as its band leader and male lead vocalists since its inception. Born in Tulsa , OK into a musical family, Ryan’s first introduction to musicianship was as an adolescent when his grandfather suggested he take piano lessons after noticing Ryan’s profound fascination with the instrument.
Growing up, Ryan’s gift for music was more personal; a talent reserved for himself, friends, and family. However, it was during his college years that he would embark on a professional career in music.
As a keyboard player, Ryan was recruited to play with various local bands performing in venues throughout the East Coast. It was during this time that he would also develop his talents as a songwriter and vocalist. This led to him branching out as a solo artist and the release of an independent album.
Additionally, Ryan has worked on the stage and behind the scenes on some of the music industry’s major productions, including BET Walk of Fame, VH1 Divas, Boston’s Steppin’ Out and Urban Music Awards, and Japan’s Himeji Festival.
As a solo artist, band member and crew member, Ryan has worked with several nationally and locally recognized artists and musicians including, B.B. King, Fred Wesley, Patti LaBelle, Ernie Fields Jr. (American Idol Musical Contractor), Dionne Warwick, Rickey Minor (American Idol Musical Director).
Additionally, Ryan serves as lead musician at Greater Generations Tabernacle Church in Hyde Park , MA . Ryan’s passion, personality and charm are communicated through every note he sings and plays. Nonetheless, Ryan’s gifts are not solely musical.
A graduate of Merrimack College in Andover, Massachusetts, he is also an employee of global staffing firm, Randstad Professionals, where he is Team Lead of the company’s Proposal Services division. Further, Ryan is a two-time runner of the Boston Marathon for the Dana-Farber Marathon team.
