Keyboards: Corey Bernhard

Keyboardist Corey Berhard brings a diverse background to the K2 bandstand. Having grown up west of Boston, Corey started piano lessons at a very early age as a prodigy of renowned teacher Sue Liu-Wen.
After high school Corey was accepted in the Jazz program at the New School in New York City. Along with his required studies he had opportunities to study with jazz masters Reggie Workman, Charles Tolliver and Gerard D’Angelo.

Further education brought him back to Massachusetts, where while attending Harvard University, Corey became musical director of Harvard’s gospel choir. After finishing a degree in Economics he returned to his first love... music.

Since his graduation Corey has had many playing opportunities, which have included performances with Jeremy Pelt, Red Reggins Dontae Winslow and Donald Harrison. When not performing with K2 Corey can be seen locally with his band The Usual Suspects.

Besides his duties as K2’s keyboardist Corey also does ceremony and cocktail hour music.
